Forward Observer
Full Screen Recommended
Defend your artillery position by using forward observers to locate enemies hidden beyond the mountains. Walk shots onto distant targets, spend your ammunition budget carefully, protect your observation posts, and destroy as many enemies as possible.
Controls
- W / S: Raise or lower the cannon.
- A / D: Decrease or increase firing power.
- Arrow keys: Pan the camera across the battlefield.
- Space: Fire the selected ammunition.
- Number keys: Select ammunition from the numbered weapon row.
- Mouse: Hover over ammunition for details or click a weapon to select it.
Ammunition
Every shot costs coins, so expensive weapons are best saved for the targets they were built to stop.
- Tracer: A cheap ranging shot that leaves a temporary trail and can pick off exposed infantry or chip an aircraft.
- HE: An exploding shell for infantry groups and light vehicles.
- Airburst: Detonates above the ground, clearing infantry across a broad downward cone and damaging light vehicles.
- Napalm: Spreads fire across the terrain and burns enemies that cross it.
- Cratering: Blasts a lasting hole into the terrain while damaging nearby ground forces.
- Flak: An anti-aircraft round that bursts near planes and scatters shrapnel.
- Armor-Piercing: A focused anti-vehicle shell with a wider blast than HE.
- Paratrooper Flare: Calls in a descending observer who provides vision in the air and establishes a new observation post after landing.
- Guided Missile: Locks onto the nearest enemy after reaching the top of its flight.
- Mini Nuke: A very expensive last resort that clears a huge section of the battlefield.
Enemies and Hazards
The enemy force expands slowly over time. Protect the cannon, because the battle only ends when it is destroyed.
- Infantry: Advance in small groups, damage observers or the cannon on contact, and disappear after making their attack.
- Jeeps: Fast light vehicles that rush observation posts and can badly injure them.
- Transport Trucks: Carry squads toward the mountains, stop at impassable grades, unload their troops, and return to base.
- Tanks: Advance until terrain blocks them, then park and fire inaccurate but deadly shots at observation posts.
- Prop Planes: Taxi from the enemy base, climb above the observers, and attempt to bomb the cannon.
- Fog: Drifts across the battlefield at different elevations and blocks observation just like terrain.
This version is an early balancing build. Feedback about pacing, readability, ammunition usefulness, bugs, and anything that feels unfair is especially welcome while development continues.

I like the concept a lot, it feels satisfying from the get go. At first I couldn’t tell what I had to do, I attacked my own flags, so maybe a tutorial could be helpful
High score 590, it does get a bit repetitive after a while
One annoying issue: sometimes the sfx are crackling and that takes a lot away from the experience
